Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy Purchase Contract
This purchase agreement is between Jeff Cavalier Home (“Breeder”) and the purchasing family (“Buyer”). By purchasing a puppy from Jeff Cavalier Home, both parties agree to the following terms.
1. Health Guarantee
Jeff Cavalier Home guarantees that all puppies are in good health at the time of sale. Every puppy is backed by a 1-year genetic health guarantee covering hereditary and congenital conditions diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian.
If a puppy is diagnosed with a life-threatening hereditary condition within 12 months of purchase, Jeff Cavalier Home will, at our discretion, offer a replacement puppy of equal value or a partial refund.
2. Veterinary Check
The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession. Failure to do so voids the health guarantee.
3. What the Guarantee Covers
- Hereditary heart conditions (MVD) diagnosed before 12 months
- Hereditary eye conditions
- Severe hip dysplasia confirmed by OFA or PennHIP
- Congenital conditions present at birth
4. What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
- Injuries, accidents, or illnesses caused by external factors
- Parasites, infections, or communicable diseases contracted after purchase
- Conditions resulting from improper care, diet, or vaccination failure
- Cosmetic conditions that do not affect quality of life
5. Return Policy
Jeff Cavalier Home will always accept our puppies back rather than see them surrendered to a shelter. If you are unable to care for your Cavalier at any time, please contact us first. We will work with you to find the best outcome for the dog.
6. Puppy Details at Time of Sale
Each puppy is sold with: full vaccination records, deworming history, microchip certificate, AKC/CKCSC registration application, and a vet health certificate dated within 10 days of delivery.
